Our goal is to inspire you to visit and circumnavigate the most beautiful lakes across Europe. As a little incentive, we’re organizing this as a challenge where you can earn collectible medals. These medals feature the unique characteristics of each region, and we call them “Local Lake Challenges.”

What is the Iron Lake Challenge?

On the respective challenge pages, you’ll find the lakes you need to walk around to complete the challenge. Starting from the moment you register, you have as much time as you want to do this—after all, you’re supposed to enjoy yourself, not rush. Generally, each Iron Lake Challenge is structured so that you have to walk around the ten largest lakes in a given area. However, every now and then, there might be “just” one large lake. Let yourself be surprised!
