Our goal is to inspire you to take on the challenge of swimming around Europe’s most beautiful lakes and earn one of our collector’s medals in the process. There are specific lakes that are perfect for our Iron Lake Micro Challenges.
What is an Iron Lake Micro Challenge?
There are lakes that are large and beautiful but still cannot be included in any of the regional Iron Lake Challenges because, for example, they straddle several national borders. A good example is Lake Constance. It has 270 kilometers of shoreline but borders Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and therefore cannot be assigned to any of the Iron Lake country challenges.
That’s exactly why we have the “Iron Lake Micro” “Challenges”have been created. These are special lake gems that don’t fit into any other Iron Lake Challenge, but are still worth circumnavigating.
The collector’s medals will be slightly smaller (5 cm in diameter), but they’re also beautifully designed and will look great on any well-stocked medal board. Iron Lake Micro Challenges are no walk in the park—they’ll really challenge you!
